San Jose City

This city is most popular for the events it holds, attracting crowds that are composed of both residents and tourists who come to check the country out. It is also known for the food provided to the audiences every festivity, as well as the handicrafts made and sold by their local people such as handmade garments and charms and jewelry.
Common victuals offered to the throng of visitors are chips, ice cream, bolis (edible uncultivated food), confituras (Spanish translation for Jam), and cold drinks such as beer.
I wish share with you some celebrations in San Jose in case you may want to pay this beautiful city a visit. New Year's Day. Although this is celebrated by almost all countries, what is special in San Jose is that here, the party frenzy is high amongst the local residents. Fireworks are lit to brighten up the entire city. There is an abundance of food on the streets, and locals are attracted to come out of their homes to party in the streets by the loud and festive dance music.
Copa del Cafe, (translation: Coffee Cup). This festivity stands for the tennis tournaments that usually take place at the Costa Rican Country Club. The tournament usually lasts for around one week, during the month of January. Dia de los Boyeros (translation: Oxcart Driver's Day).
During this event, oxcarts that have been painted in effervescent colors march along San Antonio de Escazu. After which, the priests in the area give their blessings in the crops and animals for abundance in the farming season. This takes place every second Sunday of March.
