Julio and Nancy, Our time (too short!) was perfect, and made so by the friendship you extended to us! We can't thank you enough for taking us out to the ancient city, and for the wonderful dinner and the ice cream that followed! And for taking us to mail the box to the orphanage, Julio...that was above and beyond the call of duty, but such a good and interesting time! And, of course, for ferrying us to and from the airport. Too many things to say thank you for! And I was just looking at the website for the apartment...it was everything it was advertised to be, except that it is probably impossible to add that you are also the perfect hosts! Our flight home was smooth, all the way! Except that our bags (which we saw through customs in Houston) didn't make our plane to Atlanta. We came home late this afternoon after staying with our kids over-night in Atlanta, and the bags arrived here in North Carolina just moments ago. No harm done though, since we had our grand-daughter's gifts for her fourth birthday (the 29th) in our carry on bag! Please do send a picture of the two of you! I am so angry at myself for not taking a picture while we were together...I had my camera with me but somehow always got interested in the conversation and forgot to snap a picture. Best wishes and hope to see you again before too long! Karl and Veronica PS: Our children are proposing that we spend Christmas Holidays in Nicaragua...any advice from you world travelers? I think our family travel philosophy is best expressed by our daughter in Seattle who today wrote that her holiday from school begins on the 11th of December, and she just said in a message to her sister and brother, "So where are we going? Count me in!" Ubicación de la propiedad en el Mapa: |
